Obama on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Great video of Barack on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He’s just so likable. God I want this man as our President.

Quick site note: I’m transferring the site to an outside web host as traffic to the site continues growing by leaps and bounds! As I struggle through all this web techie stuff, I’ll be posting less over the next two days – but it will all be worth it. By Friday, the site should have its own domain (no more dot wordpress!) and will be able to host far more video formats, plus other goodies!

So What is It McCain? Are You A Fool or a Fraud?!? McCain proposes Osama v. Undertaker as Terrorist Policy!

Poor, poor John McCain, his Alzheimer’s is getting so bad that he seems to contradict himself on a now daily basis!  John, the White House isn’t a convalescent home!

This one though may take the cake…

John McCain’s latest “Safe” ad start out with this lying through his teeth dignified assessment “Only a Fool or a Fraud Talks Tough or Romantically About War”

Noble lies sentiments, but perhaps McBush forgets that he said this in his not so well thought pandering to wrestling fans on this WWE Monday Night Raw footage!

“And whatja gunna do when John McCain and all his McCaniacs run wild on you?  You want to pull out of Iraq, well I say No Surrender! America can win the war against terror.  I’m going to introduce Osama Bin Laden to The Undertaker!”

For those of you unaware, The Undertaker is a towering American wrestler pictures below…
The Undertaker, McCain\'s solution to world terrorism and justice for Osama Bin Laden

So which is it McCain, are you a fool or a fraud!?!? I say both!

Even scarier, today’s published results from the Washington Post-ABC News Poll conducted June 12-15, 2008 indicate that on the issue of “The U.S. Campaign Against Terrorism,” respondents trust McCain over Obama 53% to 39%!!! (I should note, this was the biggest disparity of any issue and Obama is beating McCain on 8 out of the 11 polls issues)

But I ask WTF!?! McCain is trusted more than Obama on terrorism even though he’s decided the best recipe for justice for the mastermind of 9/11 should be to put Osama in the ring against a ‘roid injected, greased up wrestler? Is he running for the President of Thunderdome or the White House???

Interestingly, McCain\'s foreign policy, energy policy, etc. is heavily influenced by the movie Thunderdome

Let’s show this video to the families of the 9/11 victims and see what they think about McCain’s proposal.

Rasmussen Reports: We’re beating McCain – barely

Just before the weekend, Rasmussen Reports has produced its Electoral College update.  If the election were held today, Democrats would lead Republicans in the electoral college 260 to 240 with 38 electoral votes categorized as toss ups – in other words, margins that would justify Diebold and voting machine manufactures to conveniently deliver this election for McBush.

The breakdown is as follows:

Safely Democratic: California (55), Connecticut (7), Delaware (3), District of Columbia (3), Hawaii (4), Illinois (21), Maine (4), Maryland (10), Massachusetts (12), New York (31), Rhode Island (4), and Vermont (3).

Likely Democratic: Minnesota (10), New Jersey (15), Oregon (7), and Washington (11).

Leans Democratic: Iowa (7), Michigan (17), New Mexico (5), Pennsylvania (21) and Wisconsin (10).

Toss-Up: Colorado (9), Nevada (5), New Hampshire (4), and Ohio (20).

Leans Republican: Florida (27), Missouri (11), Virginia (13).

Likely Republican: Arkansas (6) and North Carolina (15).

Safely Republican: Alabama (9), Alaska (3), Arizona (10), Georgia (15), Idaho (4), Indiana (11), Kansas (6), Kentucky (8), Louisiana (9), Mississippi (6), Montana (3), Nebraska (5), North Dakota (3), Oklahoma (7), South Carolina (8), South Dakota (3), Tennessee (11), Texas (34), Utah (5), West Virginia (5) and Wyoming (3).

Interestingly enough, “the polling data used for each state is based upon an average of the results for Barack Obama vs. John McCain and Hillary Clinton vs. John McCain.”

The number suggest if the election were held today, the Democrats would win, but it would be a close call. But then we still have a little over five months to go – and amazingly, McCain escaped his primary barely bloodied.

The long time rule of thumb in elections, is that the candidate who emerges from the primaries most bloodied tends to improve upon his mid-May numbers so long as he or she gets the full support of the party.

Obama certainly proved his pound for pound mettle in the most grueling of political boxing matches against Hillary Clinton, and should they resolve the primary in short order, which the results of Saturday’s Rules Committee meeting indicates may happen sooner than later, expect these numbers to skew upward for Obama.

West Virginia Loves Obama After All! UMWA Endorses.

Good news!

The United Mine Workers of America endorsed Barack Obama

United Mine Workers of America Endorse Obama

Considering West Virginia’s status as a major swing state full of nothing but coal miners (and their wives), this is a major endorsement for Barack Obama. So eat that Hillary!

Full story available in the May 22nd edition of the The Charleston Gazette

The story has some illuminating quotes by UMWA President Cecil Roberts:

“On issue after issue, it is clear that Sen. Obama will be on our side while Sen. McCain will not,” Roberts said.

Roberts criticized McCain’s plans to eliminate the tax breaks given to workers with employer-provided health benefits.

“McCain would impose a tax on the health-care benefits our members and retirees receive that we have negotiated in our contracts.

“UMWA members are at risk of receiving serious injuries or contracting occupational diseases every day. Many of our retirees suffer from debilitating injuries or black lung. They have paid for those health-care benefits with their blood. To impose a tax on them because they receive those benefits is not only unjust. It’s immoral.”

To parse what Cecil Roberts really was saying, Republican have been rubber stamping corporate America’s will for eight years – and after the Sago and Crandall Canyon Mine collapses, they ain’t having none of it!

And might I remind you, overseeing the Mine Safety and Health Administration before and after the Crandall Canyon Mine collapse was Bush recess appointee Richard Stickler, a mining executive who managed mines that saw several deaths and injury rates more than double the national average. To get the skinny on Richard Stickler, check out Bush Reappoints Mine Safety Chief Who Bungled Crandall Canyon Disaster Another fox guarding the hen house!

Death from deregulation doesn’t appeal to your average mine worker. Bravo on this endorsement.

I have to hold my tongue about a potential black face joke and miners. Must hold tongue.

Keeping You Ahead of the Curve: Is Howard Dean Reading MY Blog?

Howard Dean read Obama\'s Hatchet Man for His Talking Points

As my many loyal readers will recall, on Monday I wrote the blog entitled McCain: Dirty Money Lobbyist Whore Videos where I joked about LobbyistGate and McCain saying…

“But all this gets even more confusing when you realize that it was campaign manager Rick Davis, stake holder in lobbying firm Davis Manafort, whom McCain has cleaning his house of lobbyists! Rick took the bold stance of either resigning or severing ties with lobbying firms. Wow, bold move… but ultimately tantamount to having a wolf guarding the hen house.”

Lo and behold, I get a blast email from Howard Dean today that starts out:

“I’ve got a joke for you.

Last week, John McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, sent a memo to the McCain campaign staff about a brand new “conflicts policy”

Here’s the punch line: Rick Davis, author of the memo and the person in charge of finding these “conflicts” within the campaign, founded his own lobbying firm, and, according to the Politico, “has made at least $2.8 million lobbying Congress since 1998.”

John McCain’s commitment to keeping Washington lobbyists out of his campaign is a joke — but it’s not funny. It’s shocking.”

Don’t you forget, you heard it here first folks! But Howard Dean knows he has free license to borrow from me whenever he wants. As a former moonlighter at the DNC, I’ll supply Howard with his talking points. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to fight the scourge that is the Republicans. (hey, it beats fighting in Iraq)

But Howard… While your letter borrowed from what I wrote about days before, my Blog was far more entertaining!!

And one more thing Obama Supporters, Politicos, Patriots, …

Now that the DNC has heard the call of blogs like mine, they’ve taken the bold step of creating a petition you can fill out calling for McCain to fire Rick Davis and Charlie Black. Just follow this link.

I’m sure McCain will be sure to add this petition to his trash can suggestion box. But hey why not support Dean’s petition, every little bit counts right?

And with Rick Davis and Charlie Black slowly being marginalized into oblivion, you know who will play an even busier roll in the campaign??? That’s right, Uncle Karl himself! (See my last blog: <a href=”https://obamashatchetman.wordpress.com/2008/05/21/scary-thought-karl-rove-will-be-mccains-brain-after-it-withers-from-his-alzheimers/”>Scary Thought: Karl Rove Will Be McCain’s Brain After It Withers From His Alzheimer’s)

As they say, the devil you know is sometimes better than the devil you don’t know in Politics. Nevertheless, scandal should never be left alone! I say off with Rick Davis and Charlie Black’s heads!!!

Off with Rick Davis and Charlie Black\'s Heads!

McCain: Cozying Up to African Americans? Try too little, too late McRacist!

John McCain announced that he would attend the NAACP convention in Cincinnati in July.

Actually, for the record, he more or less mentioned it in passing to a reporter from Essence probably because he felt on the spot! Here’s how it came up…

ESSENCE: Republican Newt Gingrich said the Republicans should not ignore the African-American and Latino community, but this election year Republican candidates Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani didn’t bother to address the Black community. As the Republican nominee, how will you reach out to the Black community, not only in this election, but afterward?

McCain: Go to places and venues that would allow me to continue a dialogue with the African-American community. I will go to the NAACP convention.

Full text go to Essence Magazine John McCain: A Man Apart (Its a really respectable interview)

While I commend him for finally putting away the hood and coming around to talk to the African American community, this is just more of the patented John McCain say anything and do anything to get elected.

It should be mentioned during the primary, when African American’s weren’t as important, “Johnny McCome-Lately” took a pass on the NAACP convention… As the AP points out:

All eight Democratic presidential candidates but only one of the 10 Republican candidates, Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo, addressed the NAACP’s 98th annual convention in Detroit last July. NAACP spokesman Richard McIntire said all presidential candidates were invited.

McCain clearly doesn’t engender much support from the African American community. Now that he’s running against Obama, the only African American vote he can count on might be that of Alan Keyes.

Still McCain is in the precarious position of needing to at least appear sensitive to African American needs or face potential backlash from the all important white, suburban swing vote. (no one likes a racist)

And it wouldn’t take much to label McCain a racist.

In another “say anything to get elected” moment that now is biting him in the ass, McCain in 2000 said he supported South Carolina’s decision to fly the Confederate flag over its capitol only to later flip flop (likely after he found more spit than usual in his meals at the Capitol Cafeteria)

Perhaps this Should be McCain\'s Lapel Pin?

He is on record as saying about Strom Thurmond, “I have not known an individual who was a more astute politician and more dedicated public servant.” (Huffington Post)

Finally, and most damning, was his continual opposition to making Martin Luther King Day a national holiday… a particularly shameful vote because 1) What black hearted politician opposes a national holiday 2) Its Martin Luther King!

To make amends, he appeared in front of an all-black crowd in Memphis on MLK day and delivered a speech on race. Naturally, he was booed vociferously.

I hadn’t seen a political moment this awkward since the first Bush vomited on Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa.

As the Huffington Post’s Will Thomas so cleverly pointed out:

“The image of a black man holding an umbrella over McCain’s head while he gave the speech didn’t exactly complement the moment.”

(Link to article)

McRacist realizes he has a major issue on his hands if he doesn’t start kissing ass to Essence Magazine. It wouldn’t take much for the racist label to stick like feathers on tar… and while on the subject of tar, I’ll leave you with this gem of McCain’s racial sensitivity.

SNL: McCain Reminds Us How He’s Been Skating By

In case it doesn’t play, here’s the link.

Ha ha. Funny funny. Oh wait, we suddenly realize through the power of sarcasm that McCain has been skating by thanks to the infighting between Democrats. Now that the Wicked Witch of Washington has been banished, McCain’s about to burst a blood vessel answering to the scorching criticisms by the left, particularly moi (not to mention the little guys at like the NY Times)

Hardly surprising that a man who has skated by for most of his life wants to once again! (You’ll notice a theme emerging over the next few weeks)

Hopefully he gets a good VP quick to whisper in his ear during his many senior moments.

That one will never get old. Ironic that a Democrat bails him out again. I’m noticing a trend Dems… Stop bailing out the old geezer and let’s win this thing! (In all fairness, Lie-berman isn’t really a Dem. I’d call him a Benedict Arnold, if I didn’t think it was offensive to the memory of Benedict Arnold)
